I think what makes BearingPoint a great place to be is the culture and the people. The environment is extremely nurturing and supportive of my own personal goals and people are always happy to help
I would describe my role at BearingPoint as exciting and diverse. The reasons behind this is because no two projects are the same and by definition, no two days are the same. I have been on several different projects, including strategic ones which aims to help our clients prepare for the forecasted growth, as well as projects that require an entrepreneurial mindset – such as defining and designing new services that our clients wants to offer to new and existing customers. Working in close-knit teams, we use data analytics to quantify our clients current situation and then use data modelling to measure the benefits of our proposed changes. Being a part of BE has not only allowed me to learn from the best and brightest through structured training sessions, but the culture at BE has also provided me with plenty of opportunities to learn on the job since I got the right level of responsibilities from day one.
Each and every one of our clients are unique, and so are our projects. This means that a normal day could be anything from supporting a proposal, working closely with clients at client site to fully understand their long term goals, presenting to the steering committee to ensure that everybody is aligned, or delivering an internal training session to share learnings from past projects.
My favourite part of being a consultant is to be presented with a challenge that requires the whole team to work together and come up with the perfect solution to present to our clients. My job allows me to use both the analytical side of my brain as well as my creative side since the tasks given to us often requires out-of-the-box thinking.
Outside the office
I value time with my friends and family highly and make sure that I strike a good work-life balance. The structures at BE really allows me to focus on my personal life when outside of working hours, making sure that I am able to perform at my best after evenings/weekends of relaxing.
During my spare time, I enjoy exercising (I mostly go the gym but also enjoy a good run when the weather allows), travelling (I try to visit at least one new country per year), exploring different restaurants around London (our office location is great for that), and hiking (Norway is beautiful!).
I think what makes BearingPoint a great place to be is the culture and the people. The environment is extremely nurturing and supportive of my own personal goals and people are always happy to help. Working as a consultant at BearingPoint has really excelled my learning and broaden my expertise in various areas – not only have I picked up a number of technical skills and mastered powerful computer software, but I have also gained valuable insight in a number of different businesses and now have experiences that helps me understand how different industries work. All in all, we do our best to make sure that we are the best that we can be while having a real good time doing it.
